Xiong Xiangtao Visits and Encourages Xiantao Football Team Coaches and Players
On the afternoon of April 22， Xiong Xiangtao visited the football field of the new campus of Xiantao Middle School to extend his regards and encouragement to the coaching staff and all members of the Xiantao Football Team， who are currently engaged in intensive preparations for upcoming matches． On behalf of the Xiantao Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government， he conveyed sincere greetings and high respect to the team， encouraging them to stay composed， prepare wholeheartedly， strive for excellence， and display both style and skill on the field．
At the training ground， the players were in high spirits， carrying out tactical drills and scrimmages in an orderly and energetic manner． Xiong carefully observed the training session， shook hands with the coaches and players one by one， and held face－to－face conversations with them． He inquired in detail about the team’s training schedule， the athletes’ physical and mental condition， as well as their daily living support， fully affirming the players’ courageous and tenacious spirit．
Xiong noted that although the team lost its opening match， the players had demonstrated determination in defense， aggression in attack， and persistence throughout the entire game， while the enthusiastic support from hometown fans provided strong motivation． “Victory and defeat are both part of competitive sports，” he said． “I hope everyone can lay down the burden， maintain a calm mindset， carefully review the lessons learned， strengthen preparations， unite as one， and carry forward the sporting spirit of friendship first and competition second． Strive bravely for the best， reach higher， and showcase both your character and your ability．”
Xiong emphasized that the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government will always stand firmly behind the team as its strongest support， while the people of Xiantao and football fans across the city will continue to move forward together with them in heart and action． He also wished all players enjoyable training， healthy exercise， and continuous growth and progress．
On behalf of the entire team， Head Coach Cai Sheng expressed gratitude to the Municipal Party Committee， the Municipal Government， the people of Xiantao， and the broad fan base for their care and support． He stated that the team would transform this concern into motivation， face challenges head－on， fight with resilience， and devote themselves to the remaining matches with even greater passion and stronger morale， striving to repay the high expectations of the people of Xiantao with outstanding performances．
Following the visit， Xiong went to the south square of Ronghuai School to inspect the progress of the home venue construction in the Xiantao competition zone． He stressed that all relevant departments should reverse the construction schedule， work according to a detailed timetable， and advance venue construction and supporting facility improvements with high standards and high quality to ensure on－time delivery and provide solid guarantees for the smooth hosting of the event．
