Third Mian Business Conference and 2026 Xiantao New Year Consumption Season Press Conference Held
“Conference as a Platform ＋ Consumption as the Show” Lights Up the Xiantao New Year Flavor
On December 25th， our city held the press conference for the Third Mian Business Conference and the 2026 New Year Consumption Season， introducing the relevant details of the Mian Business Conference and the New Year Consumption Season activities and answering media inquiries．
“The New Year Consumption Season will run from December 2025 to March 2026， following the ‘5＋5’ overall framework for coordinated advancement， which includes five core sections： ‘Leisure Shopping in Xian，’ ‘Enjoyable Spring in Xian，’ ‘Trendy Exploration in Xian，’ ‘Enjoyable Xian Rhythms，’ and ‘Smart Talent Recruitment in Xian，’ as well as five key municipal－level activities，” said Hu Yonghua， Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce． He added that there will be events such as the launch ceremony for the New Year Consumption Season， an exhibition of high－quality agricultural products， a “Million Welfare” consumption promotion campaign， a launch of intangible cultural heritage （ICH） New Year food markets， and a clothing exhibition．
In addition to the main venue activities， all major commercial districts across the city will also launch exciting events： the Yintai commercial district will host a “Double Festival Crazy Season” and a New Year’s Eve music gala； Wuyue Plaza will feature a drone show and an ICH handicraft market； Wu Shang Mall will organize a “Embrace 2026” music festival and a golden tree blessing activity； New World Plaza will hold a parent－child carnival and a dreamy music concert； each town and district will create unique local activities under the “One Town， One Product” concept．
Regarding the cultural and tourism activities for the 2026 New Year and Spring Festival， Liu Qingbing， a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism， shared that the city will host the “Beautiful Xiantao， Happy Homeland” New Year’s Eve Gala on December 31st， 2025． From February 11th （the 24th day of the 12th lunar month） to March 3rd （the Lantern Festival） of 2026， there will be a Spring Festival Lantern Show， and a Lantern Festival fireworks display will be held on March 3rd， 2026． Additionally， from January 1st to January 30th， 2026， a series of New Year cultural activities will take place．
The Third Mian Business Conference， themed “Mian Business Returning Home， Co－building the Pivot，” will be held from December 30， 2025， to January 1， 2026． “This conference has high specifications and a large scale， with an expected 500 guests， including well－known experts and scholars from across the country， representatives of the Provincial Chu Business Association， outstanding Mian Business representatives from both domestic and overseas， chairpersons of listed companies， and representatives of leading enterprises in various industries，” said Xu Lingfeng， Deputy Minister of the Municipal United Front Work Department and Secretary of the Party Group of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce．
The conference will include nine major activities： On the afternoon of December 30th， a working meeting for the presidents and secretaries of various Xiantao business associations will be held， followed by a Mian Business representative seminar， and a visit to the New Year’s lantern show． On the morning of December 31st， participants will observe the city’s achievements in economic and social development， and in the afternoon， there will be the thematic conference of the Third Mian Business Conference， a Mian Business quality products exhibition， and four industry seminars focusing on intelligent manufacturing， textiles and apparel， food ＋ biomedicine， and new energy and new materials． That evening， a New Year Gala will be held． On January 1， 2026， a New Year Fun Run will take place in the morning．
Xu Lingfeng added that， compared to previous editions， this year’s conference is more focused， as it explicitly ties Mian Business development to the provincial strategy of “Co－building the Pivot．” The content is more practical， with the addition of the release of the “Mian Business Returning Home， Co－building the Pivot” initiative， expert keynote speeches， and four industry－specific seminars． The format is more innovative， combining site visits， product exhibitions， cultural lantern shows， New Year’s galas， and fun runs， providing a well－rounded experience that showcases both serious economic talks and warm hometown fellowship， fully reflecting the vitality and sincerity of Xiantao．
The integration of sports elements adds vitality to the New Year celebration． “We are committed to promoting sales through sports and ensuring that everyone shares in the benefits，” said Zheng Xianmiao， a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Municipal Sports Development Center． He explained that alongside the Mian Business Conference， there will be four key activities： a New Year’s Fun Run， an automobile off－road race， an ice and snow sports consumption season， and a “Sports Over the New Year” campaign， which will help convert the sports enthusiasm into consumption momentum．
During the Spring Festival， all public sports venues in the city will be free for citizens， and collaborations with large sports complexes， such as Li Xiaoshuang Sports City， No． 6 Sports Park， and Yonex Badminton Hall， will be organized to host a “New Year Fitness Carnival．” Fitness enthusiasts will be able to enjoy special discounts for local tourist attractions when participating in fitness activities．
